Crozet Arts strives to use registration and tuition practices and policies that make our school affordable and accessible.

Weather & Emergency Closings
Crozet Arts generally, but not always, follows Albemarle County Public Schools for inclement weather and emergency closings.
Exceptions may be made in cases of extended closures or when conditions improve during the day (for example, if roads are clear by mid-afternoon). When weather is uncertain, please check CrozetArts.org—updates are typically posted by 1:00 pm.

Registration & Payment
Students register online and pay tuition at the time of registration.

Payment by check is available—please contact us to arrange

Tuition is due by the registration deadline listed for each class, or before attending any class (virtual or in-person)
Late Enrollment
With instructor permission, students may enroll after a term or session has begun.

Tuition may be prorated or make-up options offered at the instructor’s discretion

Tuition Commitment
Each student (or responsible party) is responsible for the full tuition for the session in which they are enrolled, regardless of attendance.
Ballet Students (Pre-Ballet through Advanced):

Enrollment is for the full academic year

To discontinue, written notice must be provided at least two weeks prior to the end of a quarter
-
Without notice, tuition will be billed for the following quarter
There are no refunds for early withdrawal.
Late Payments
Tuition not received before the first class of a session or quarter will incur a $10 late fee.
It is the responsibility of the adult student/parent/guardian to track tuition due dates and ensure timely payment.
Refund Policies
Academic Year Classes (September–May)

Full refunds are issued if a class is cancelled

Otherwise, refunds are only granted in cases of:

Extended illness

Family emergency

Other extenuating circumstances
(and only if make-up or virtual options are not possible)

Approved refunds will be issued minus a $15 processing fee
If necessary, classes may move to Zoom. Refunds will not be issued in this case unless a virtual option is not feasible.

Summer Workshops & Classes

Our summer programs have limited enrollment. This policy supports small class sizes and allows instructors to create thoughtful, high-quality experiences.

Crozet Arts Health & Wellness Policy
At Crozet Arts, we remain committed to fostering a welcoming, creative, and healthy environment for all students, families, instructors, and visitors. Many members of our community include young children, older adults, and individuals with asthma or compromised immunity.
For their safety, and for the well-being of everyone who studies here, we ask that all who participate please read, understand, and agree to the Health & Wellness Policy below before attending class. Agreement is given during the class registration process.
1. Vaccinations (Encouraged)
We strongly encourage all eligible students and adults to stay up to date with vaccinations for respiratory and other illnesses.

2. Mask Use & Air-Quality Awareness
Mask-wearing remains a welcome consideration when symptomatic, and is seen as an expression of care for our community.

3. Cleanliness, Ventilation & Hygiene
Studios and classrooms are cleaned regularly; high-touch surfaces are sanitized. Air purifiers run continuously and windows may be opened. Hand sanitizer is provided at the entrance to the building.

4. Illness & Symptom Policy
Please stay home if you or your child have fever, respiratory symptoms, vomiting, diarrhea, or any new symptoms of contagious illness.

5. Return-to-Class Criteria
Return when fever-free for at least 24 hours without medication, symptoms are significantly improving, and GI symptoms have resolved for at least 24 hours. One could consider masking until symptoms have completely resolved and using the provided hand sanitizer when entering the building. Please keep in mind our immunocompromised and otherwise vulnerable community members when making these decisions.
6. Exposure & Transmission
If exposed through a household member or other close contact, monitor your health closely and consider masking in the Crozet Arts building if any symptoms develop.

7. Parent & Caregiver Conduct
Hallways can become crowded. If symptomatic please consider minimizing time in the building, wearing a mask during drop off and pick up, or arranging alternate transportation for your child. Many parents are happy to help out fellow community members.
8. Communication & Absences
If you or your child will miss a class or lesson due to illness please email the instructor or CrozetArts@gmail.com.
